Imagine this: You are the sole caregiver for your small son, your schizophrenic dad (who also has dementia), and your mentally challenged brother (who has the mental age of an 8 year old). You are also married and trying to have a successful marriage.
Now imagine doing all of that with no legs.
Rosemarie Siggins does all those things everyday. She was born with Sacral Agenisis, and had her legs amputated as a small child.
I was channel surfing the other day and found a documentary about Rosemarie. It was truly amazing, not because of the fact that she does all of these things, but the fact that she has such a positive attitude about everything. I think most people in that situation (legs or no legs) would constantly be asking “why me?” Not Rose. She just does what she has to do and keeps a smile on her face. I think she is truly an extraordinary person.
